The enzyme mask is a mild chemical peel that comes in powder form and mixed using a 1:1 ratio of powder and water (using the small scoop provided)… it’s mixed to a bubbly consistency and brushed over the face. Enzymes work by ridding the skin of dead skin cells, therefore giving a deep exfoliation. Enzymes are perfect for sensitive skins that chemical peels such as glycolics maybe too harsh for. Other chemical peels rid the skin of live skin cells, which is why they help with forms of pigmentations and scarring. Enzyme peels are milder and can be used in conjunction with other exfoliating treatments and work fantastic after Derma-planning.

KEY INGREDIENTS

PAPAIN – Papain is a proteolytic enzyme extracted from the raw fruit of the papaya plant.  Proteolytic enzymes help break proteins down into smaller protein fragments called peptides and amino acids.  This is why papain is a popular ingredient in meat tenderiser.  Papain helps reduce acne by removing dead skin cells that can clog pores.  Papain can also remove damaged keratin that can build up on the skin.  This makes papain a cleanser o prepare skin to absorb nutrients.

ALLANTION – Extracted from the root of the comfrey plant, allantoin is a non-irritating ingredient that soothes and protects the skin.  Allantoin’s shortlist of skin soothing benefits include anti-inflammation and hydration for sensitive skin.  Allantoin moisturises the skin to prevent dryness and irritation.  It is suitable for sensitive skin too because of its non-irritable nature.  Allantoin helps in shedding dead skin cells as it softens, separates and exfoliates dead skin cells.

DIRECTIONS

Spoon included.  Pour a small amount of powder into a bowl and add water to mix to a foamy consistency.  With a fan brush, apply gently to the skin in circular motions.  After 5 minutes, wipe away with a steamed towel or pads.
